LA State 2012
I shot my first match of the 2012 season this past weekend. It was also my first opportunity to use my new hatcam. I think it turned out well.
WOW. What a match! Everything went very smooth this year and its getting better and more efficient each time. I took home 1st SSP Master and missed division champ thanks to some ammo troubles. Here is the video.
I just opened my new Hornady Lock-N-Load AP Press last night. This thing is a beast compared to my old Lee Pro 1000. I need to get the shell plates for it but I have mounted it to the bench and setup the priming system. Hopefully, I can get the shell plates tomorrow and start cranking out some rounds on this thing. Pictures will come shortly.
Well, Nationals is over as is the 2010 shooting season. It has been a good one. Although this was the first time that I have shot a major without placing, I did get a sponsorship from Rudy Project USA. So far, they have been great to me and even better to the shooting community. I will be putting more information about that up in the future. About the match. It was another well run IDPA Nationals. The SO staff for the most part was courteous and knowledgeable. There were a few in there that had a chip on their shoulder for something. Overall I was not ecstatic about my performance, but not completely upset either. There were 2-3 bad stages, 2-3 good ones, and a lot of mediocre. That is what I have to fix. I can find many places where one simple mistake cost be 2-3 seconds. On a 16 stage match, that kind of time adds up quick. I was shooting at my usual speed but the accuracy just was not there.
